The following was posted on Ellenbrook and Surrounds Facebook page – what an inspirational boy.

Have you heard of Vincent’s Project for the Homeless? Well, if not – listen up! Vincent is a pretty cool 9 year old kid who runs a project for those less fortunate living in Perth. He has recently set up a collection point for donations right here in Ellenbrook.

If you would like to donate some items to his project, they can be dropped to Father Bono from St Helena’s of the Holy Cross in Ellenbrook, Cnr Strathmore Parkway & Coolamon Blvd, Ellenbrook.

The drop off point is open daily from 8:15-9:15am, Saturday from 5-8pm and Sunday from 7:30-10am.

Attached is the speech Vincent used to launch his project for this year as well as a flyer that lists the items he is collecting and some of the places these can be purchased.

When we spoke with Vincent last week, he advised us he has just taken delivery of 550 sports bags so they can be crossed off the list. He is quite low on blankets, pillows, soap, razors and shaving cream at the moment. Cash donations can be made too as he then buys what’s needed.

If people want to be part of this project, he will host a packing day on Friday 29th May at the Whitford Catholic Primary School (in the hall) from 3:30pm and he says everyone is welcome!
